Entry #5 Higher Education, Higher Median Pay
It seems as that as the years go by less and less of high school graduates in the Maricopa County attempt to pursue higher education. Whether it be from the lack of motivation or the cost of enrolling into classes. Student always being told to pursue higher educations to have a better chance at obtaining high paying jobs.
Although, many would see this as waste of time and resource. There is valuable data that shows having a Bachelor’s, graduate, and professional degree leads to higher incomes. This is explained by the Madeleine Parrish, in the article Earnings potential goes up a lot for Arizonans with college degrees. Here's how much, by saying that those with a bachelor’s degree will see their “median earnings jump to $65,791.” As shown here by the data table she displays on her article.
Even many don’t wish to continue their education in college it be wise for them to at least pressure certificates. In the article Ducey: Why Arizona needs more college grads, Governer Douge Ducey states, “more than two-thirds of future jobs are expected to require education beyond high school.” This could be interpreted as a wakeup call to student and those coming out of high school to at least plan to obtain some form of degree or certification.
